The holiday gift giving season is literally just around the corner and chances are there are still a few people you need to buy gifts for. If you know someone who is outdoorsy it’s pretty easy because they could always use a new toy from REI. Fashion minded people aren’t extremely hard to buy for because there are so many resources to help guide you in the right direction. But what about gifts for the business person you know that spends more time on the road than they do at home? Here are some great ideas for gifts to give travelling business people this holiday season.
New Carryon Luggage and Garment Bag
To make their lives easier, it’s always recommended to keep a carry on bag packed and ready to go at all times; depending on the job, maybe a garment bag with a suit or other formal wear as well. Get them a new, durable carry on roller and garment bag that they can dedicate solely to business travel.
TSA Approved Toiletries
With airport security and flight restrictions as tight as they are these days, nobody wants to be the one person in line that holds up the rest simply because they weren’t prepared correctly. Get on the TSA webpage and look what is allowed in carry on luggage. Find a toiletry bag that is the correct dimensions, and some toiletries that are approved sizes. This way they won’t be putting their stuff in a plastic zip top bag over and over again. Look for something with quality so it’ll last a good while.
Tablet and Gift Cards for E-Books or Small Laptop
Whether it’s on the plane ride or in their hotel room, a lot of traveling business people like to unwind by reading. Help them out by getting them a nice small tablet and some gift cards for a good amount of ebooks. If they aren’t the reading type, you can look at small inexpensive computers to download and watch movies or TV shows.
Special Neck Pillow
One thing airplanes usually lack is head/neck support and comfort. Advancements in technology have made some incredible new neck pillows that help solve both problems. Do some consumer research and see what fits you and your budget the best, but there is something for everyone. That way when they arrive at their Crown Plaza Hotel, they won’t feel obligated to lay down and crash right away.
New Shoulder Bag or Briefcase
Most airlines allow one carry on piece of luggage and a personal item. These can include backpacks, purses, smaller bags, etc. Find them something useful that will fit all or most of their important business items. Typically something that will securely hold a laptop, the charger, paperwork, folders and some pens. It doesn’t need to be huge, but big enough to hold everything. Some travel work bags even have special pockets for passports, money, and other important items.
