I know, I know, I explained I’d post extra of this 1950 Ford COE just over a 7 days ago. My terrible, I received a tiny distracted. I’ll expose why quickly. But, choose these more photographs of my penance.
This truck, recognised as the Flat Rat hails from Keswick Ontario and was developed by it’s proprietor Scott Badger (@keswickscott).
Scott has owned the truck cab about 10 a long time now. Items genuinely obtained heading on the truck about five yrs ago, with significant progress becoming built during the pandemic.
From driving the tilt taxi to where by the custom 4-connection begins is most of a widened Chevy 3500 chassis. Forward of the entrance wheels is typically factory Ford with signficant modifications performed to make the steering get the job done at the truck’s new peak.
The motor is a 7.3L Powerstroke with a T4 turbo upgrade backed by an automatic transmission.
Scott managed to retain as significantly initial as he could, but he did have to replace a little bit of sheet steel right here and on the taxi. The new additions had been sprayed by Scott in possibly white or pink.
Scott and his son also designed all 11 toes of the mattress from scratch.
Practically nothing additional than an English wheel and a Princess Auto bead roller was employed in the bed design.
In reality, the entire truck was crafted in a fairly humble dwelling garage. Proving the moment once again that the place there is a will there is a way when it will come to do-it-on your own fabrication. Some thing that certainly delivered a bit of commitment for my personal challenge.
The tailgate of the truck is really a 2nd COE entrance close that has been modified to make a tailgate. Scott stuffed the grill, manufactured it hinge and took the Tremendous Duty embossing from a late model ford.
“If this is not Tremendous Duty I do not know what is,” Scott mentioned.
For the eagle-eyed, certainly the tail lights are rotated variations from a 65 Ford Mustang, Fairly intelligent if you request me.
Naturally, this truck is quite significantly up my alley and I hope to see more of it all over again quickly.
Ontario is back again jamming once more and I’m unquestionably here for it!
